Tewkesbury Square Mortice Knob Set
A very ornate and decorative pair of unsprung solid door knobs, reproduced from a georgian original. Perfectly suited to restore period properties or town houses to create a genuinely traditional feel. Anvil's ageing process highlights the eccentric detail to the square backplate, offering a large contrast to all the highly polished components. These knobs will tarnish in time as part of the ageing process but can be polished time and time again if you want to achieve a high sheen. Suitable for mortice only. Not for use with rim locks. They have 8mm² x 140mm spindle to take adjustment for various door thickness. For best results the centre of the knob should be a minimum of 3" from the edge of the door. Heavy duty latches 4" or 5" are recommended for maximum efficiency.
