PVD or “Stainless Brass” (Physical Vapour Deposit).
25 year guarantee against tarnishing, corrosion and abrasion.
Tested to DIN 53167, including over 2500 hours of salt spray test (normal brassware 96 hours) and 1000 cycles of brush acid abrasion.
The total test is equivalent to 25 years under normal oxidation, wear and abrasion conditions.
The main difference offered by P.V.D is that there is no lacquer to break down and the product is impervious to Oxidation, Tarnishing and Abrasion for 25 years.
The specialist process is time-consuming and more expensive than our standard brassware, but the long term advantages well outweigh extra costs and are already appreciated by many private and commercial users including: Private Housing, Hotels, Public Houses, Restaurants, Offices, Refurbishments (or wherever maintenance-free conditions and beautiful brassware is required).
